The partnership

Voltaware and Burgenland Energie will embark on a comprehensive 5-year rollout plan designed to bring cutting-edge energy insight technology directly into the homes of tens of thousands of their customers. Burgenland Energie is bundling Voltaware sensors in a prosumer-tailored offer including solar panels and batteries, which is directly advertised to consumers via the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung.

By leveraging Voltaware’s state-of-the-art energy monitoring sensor combined with appliance-level insights, Austrian consumers are able to engage with their energy consumption and production directly through Burgenland’s mobile app BE Spare Flo – in real-time.

Burgenland Energie will also deploy Voltaware’s smart meter-only insights to engage all their customers with their energy use at scale, and incentivise them to upgrade to a real-time BE Spare Flo sensor product.
