Governments, investors, NGOs and businesses made impressive promises at COP26. This year’s London Climate Action Week (LCAW) — one of the world’s largest independent climate change events — coincides with the G7 and focuses on how to deliver on the promises of COP26 in the context of the food and energy shortage.

At London Climate Action Week, taking place from 25 June to 3 July, organisers invited Londoners and the international community to participate in a wide selection of hybrid and online events. This year, there have been over 150 events across various sectors, including the arts, community, education, business and local authorities, to take stock of progress and push for stronger commitments at COP27.

LCAW is all about creating an ambitious climate cluster to tackle this global emergency throughout the week and beyond, showcasing London as the leading example of how the whole of society can come together to drive climate action.

First Imagine! attended the Climate Innovation Forum

This year, we attended the Climate Innovation Forum, a flagship event of LCAW, bringing together senior public and private sector decision-makers to accelerate the delivery of net zero goals.

A critical touchpoint between COP26 and COP27, the Forum looked at core pathways to net zero, exploring the creation and adoption of innovative technologies, processes and business models to decarbonise our economy at the scale we need.
